Shiloh Messiah,

Mi hijo, my Lord.

This message is the first in a series of letters I've been compiling since your arrival.

When you came I was a supervisor on a corporate plantation in the land of New Jeru, trying to figure my way out.

I knew I would have to dropout - I just didn't know when, or how. There was a prophecy I had to fulfill. A call that would lead me into The Woods to make a living, living.

In the words of Henry Thoreau...

“I WENT TO THE WOODS BECAUSE I WISHED TO LIVE DELIBERATELY, TO FRONT ONLY THE ESSENTIAL FACTS OF LIFE, AND SEE IF I COULD NOT LEARN WHAT IT HAD TO TEACH, AND NOT, WHEN I CAME TO DIE, DISCOVER THAT I HAD NOT LIVED."

Your path wont be like mine, but a day will come, where you'll have to decide - to take the broad road, or the one less traveled.

You'll run into doubt and your deepest fears will come to light.

But when that time comes, I want these lessons to serve as your guide.

By the time you receive them, the book will be done. The tentative title, unless I come up with a better one, is:

You are a God

A Letter to my Son

What do you think? Fitting no?

Motivational speakers are always talking about uncovering your "why."

They say if your why is stronger than your reason to quit, it will keep you going when times get hard.

It's true.

Once upon a time I wanted to play all sorts of roles in life.

A lawyer, an architect, an engineer, a pilot, a producer...

I was smitten by money, power and prestige.

But after chasing these illusions for 30 years, I realized the only role I wanted play forever - was a Father.

It was the only job I looked forward to my entire life.

So when I found out it was happening - that you were coming. I knew that was my queue to make a run for it.

To be the Father I wanted you to know.

Son, these lessons are your keys.

I've asked your uncles for the unanswered questions that would help me shed light on this transition.

They asked what it felt like, taking the leap... what pushed me over the edge? How did we stay afloat? How did I stay positive? Was it worth it? How did your mother not leave me?

The answers might surprise you (or not).

I've tucked them away for you in The Vault. You can unlock them when the time is right or go in now and ask your own

The Keys: I AM

Remember these keys - and use them in ALL CAPS. You'll need them to get through The Woods.

Anyway that's it for today.

Tomorrow you'll receive your first lesson with instructions on what to look out for on your journey into The Woods.

Til then,

Peace.

Su padre, El Padre.
